The Saturday Fresh Market is open each Saturday morning from 6am.
The Sunday Discovery Market and Friday night’s Brisbane Night Market are both temporarily closed in keeping with the advice from the Federal Government.
It can be daunting starting a new Market stall from scratch. Ensure you are across any Brisbane City Council Market stall licensing requirements. We recommend coming to the Markets as a customer to see the lay of the land.

The Saturday Fresh Market is open every Saturday from 6am to 12 noon.
The Sunday Discovery Market is open every Sunday from 6am to 12 noon.
The Markets are located at 250 Sherwood Road, Rocklea.

Saturday Fresh Market and Sunday Discovery Market stall terms are one month with payment required one month in advance.
Sunday Discovery Market weekly bookings are available, week to week with payment due at the time of reservation to confirm the booking.

To apply for a stall to trade at the Saturday Fresh Market or Sunday Discovery Market click here.
Stall fees are due on the last trading weekend of the month. A Tax Invoice will be emailed directly to your nominated email address monthly.
For casual stall bookings, payment is required upon booking.
Payments can be made online at stallbookings.brisbanemarkets.com.au, or over the phone by credit card during office hours: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 3.30pm Friday: 8.30am – 2pm.
Monthly Stallholders can elect to pay by either of the above methods, in advance for the following month, or at the Site Office between 10am and 1pm on the last Saturday or Sunday of the month.
Yes, Public Liability Insurance for a minimum coverage amount of $10 million is required for all Dine in Food Vendors and any Stallholder who stores equipment or product on site.
No, from time to time Brisbane MarketPlace may change the layout of the Markets. As a result of this a Stallholder is not committed to one stall location within the site and may be required to relocate.
No Stallholder at Brisbane MarketPlace has exclusivity over a particular product or service.

Bump in: 3.15 to 5.30am
Bump out: 12.15 to 2pm
Sunday Discovery Market
Bump in: 3.45 to 5.30am
Bump out: 12.15 to 2pm
Bump in and out times are strictly observed. If you arrive after 5.30am we are unable to let you into the Market to setup. When attending the Markets please ensure you leave the site by the required time and not before.
The Saturday Fresh Market offers a huge selection of fruit and vegetables, quality meats, poultry and seafood, fresh cut flowers, breads and baked goods, gourmet and deli lines, a huge range of indoor and outdoor plants, and lifestyle products.
The Sunday Discovery Market offers a huge selection of pre-loved, second hand items, antiques and collectables, clothing, jewellery and accessories, toys, electronics, home and kitchenware items, tools, plants and fresh flowers.
Yes, parking is available within the designated Stallholder parking space.

The majority of the stalls are under shade sails for the comfort of Market customers.
The Saturday Fresh Market and Sunday Discovery Market go ahead rain, hail or shine. The walkways are covered by shade sails, so you should avoid getting thoroughly drenched.
In the event of extreme weather, we may close the venue to ensure the safety of our guests and Stallholders. If this occurs we will advise the closure on our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) and on our website.
The Market is open rain, hail or shine. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or credits if you choose not to attend due to wet weather.
Bookings are valid for the date of the booking only. Non (or late) attendance means that any fees paid for the stall are forfeited.
We receive a high volume of Stallholder applications and unfortunately not every application to trade can be accommodated at our Markets.
No, there will not be any permanent structures or setup. Stallholders will be required to set up and pack down each Market day.
Yes, electricity is available at the Markets. Be sure to add this requirement to your application or to your checkout cart when booking your stall online.
All electrical items must be tested and tagged by a licenced electrical contractor.
Yes, Stallholders can hire a bin for any general waste. Recycle bins, for cardboard only, are also available for disposal of cardboard and are located behind the toilet facilities at Brisbane MarketPlace.
Yes, we have grey water disposal available. Waste water can be disposed of in our supplier grey water tanks.
The Saturday Fresh Market requires all Stallholders to use a gazebo.
Gazebos are optional for standard stalls at the Sunday Discovery Market. Brisbane MarketPlace does not hire gazebos out to Stallholders, so if you require one for your stall please ensure you bring it to the Market.
Trestle tables are available for hire at the Saturday Fresh and Sunday Discovery Markets. Be sure to add these to your shopping cart when placing your booking here.
Gazebos are not available for hire from Brisbane MarketPlace.
Stallholders must remove all equipment from the site at the conclusion of the Market each week.
Stallholders may only affix signage in their immediate stall area, to their own equipment and structures. Signage must not be attached to the concrete columns, roadway or roof structure.
Many food products require a Brisbane City Council Temporary Food Stall Licence. Visit www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/laws-permits/laws-permits-businesses/food-business-licences/starting-new-food-business/market-food-stall for more information about Brisbane City Council requirements.
All licensable food businesses in Queensland must also have a Food Safety Supervisor. The certifications of the nominated supervisor must be presented at the time of applying. To learn more about Food Safety Training, click here.
When food is being prepared on Market premises, a food licence and food handling certificate must be provided. If you do not have these certifications, these can be acquired from Brisbane City Council. If you do not have these documents upon making your application to us and are approved, you will be required to provide these documents before commencing trade.
Food stalls require flooring, a gazebo with weights and fire safety equipment. Additionally, all electrical items must be tested and tagged, and all temporary food stall guidelines and provisions must be complied with to maintain a stall with Brisbane MarketPlace.
A sample menu outlining the types of food being served, along with images that reflect your stall set-up including professional signage with a gazebo, must accompany the application.
Please note that the sale of beverages (hot or cold) is not permitted at the Market.
Because Rocklea is a high risk suburb for fire ants, there are certain steps we must follow before a person can trade on site with plants. Brisbane MarketPlace has been approved by Bio Security QLD to allow Stallholders to trade with high risk items (potted plants, mulch, soils, turf etc.) under a new permit.
With the new permit there are now new conditions which stallholders must comply with.
All stallholders must:
- submit an application online;
- be approved to trade by Brisbane MarketPlace;
- complete a Plant Declaration Form;
- be able to provide “proof of source” (where the plants are grown); and
- plants are not to be stored on site for more than a 24-hour period.

Legitimate brand-name products are welcome in the Market. Brisbane MarketPlace has a strict policy preventing sellers from offering counterfeit goods for sale. Officers from the Department of Commerce frequently visit the Market to ensure stalls are compliant. Non-compliant stalls can face legal repercussions and will be barred from trade.
The use of generators is not permitted due to noise and fume production.
Brisbane MarketPlace is a no smoking site. Cigarettes and smoking products are not permitted inside the stall boundaries.
This option is available at the Sunday Discovery Market only. We recommend pre-booking a stall as there are many more options and you are guaranteed a stall position on the day.
