A big change is coming to our Saturday Fresh Market in 2022.

The Saturday Fresh Market is relocating across the road to a new home in the Covered Unloading Area of the Brisbane Produce Market from Saturday, 26 February.

The new all-weather venue is close to the free Multi-level Car Park and spacious enough to house all your market favourites.

In the meantime, we are taking an extended break while we prepare to relocate before reopening in our new home.

Frequently Asked Questions - Markets Relocation

Saturday Fresh Market will move permanently to the Covered Unloading Area of the Brisbane Produce Market at 385 Sherwood Road, Rocklea in February 2022.

This venue is located across the road from the Market’s current location at 250 Sherwood Road.

The Markets are relocating to allow for the future development of Brisbane Markets’ expanding wholesale operations, which supply fresh fruit and vegetables to consumers right across Queensland, the Northern Territory and northern New South Wales, and contribute billions of dollars to Queensland’s economy annually.

This expansion is great news for Queensland’s horticulture industry, strengthening the supply chain for Market wholesalers, growers, logistics operators, retail small businesses, the fresh produce stallholders at the Saturday Fresh Market and, in turn, consumers.

The Saturday Fresh Market will reopen on Saturday, 26 February 2022.

The new location is large enough to accommodate the current number of Saturday Fresh Market stallholders.

Any stallholder vehicles used to set-up will be provided parking on site.  Parking will either be at the rear of your stall, or in close proximity to the Covered Unloading Area.  Brisbane MarketPlace will notify each stallholder with individual details on parking over the coming weeks.

All stallholder employees must park in one of the publicly accessible parking zones.

Brisbane MarketPlace is working to finalise the new Market footprint.  All stallholders will be contacted over the coming weeks with details on stall positioning.

Stall sizes will start from 3 metres x 3 metres.  Brisbane MarketPlace will liaise with each stallholder over the coming weeks to confirm stall size in accordance with your needs.

3 metre x 3 metre stalls start from $50.  For more information on stall costs, contact Brisbane MarketPlace via

All stallholders will have access to electricity, water, waste and grey water disposal as per current arrangements.  There will be no cooking oil disposal on site.  Stallholders will be responsible for removing their own cooking oil from site.

All stalls must operate in a pop-up style with all equipment removed from the site at the completion of each market.

There is no stallholder storage at the Covered Unloading Area.  However, some existing storage at 250 Sherwood Road will remain.

Brisbane MarketPlace will contact all stallholders currently using this storage space to discuss their options.  Any stallholders who do retain storage at 250 Sherwood Road will be responsible for relocating equipment to and from these containers each week.
