Our COVID Safe Plan

The Saturday Fresh Market is proud to be a COVID Safe Business, operating with an approved COVID Safe Plan.

  • Increased cleaning and sanitising of toilets and bathrooms, seated dining areas and frequently touched areas.
  • Floor marking and queue barriers in use.
  • Health warning signs in place throughout the market.
  • Provide hand sanitising stations throughout the market.
  • Security in place to provide assistance.
  • Health checks for employees.

We ask that everyone attending the Saturday Fresh Market observes the following:

  • If you are sick or generally feeling unwell, do not visit the market.
  • Practice social distancing and maintain social distancing of 1.5 m at all times within the market.
  • No more than one person per 2 m2, so if an area is busy, come back later.
  • Maximum seating of six people at any table.
  • Sanitise your hands on entry and exit to the market and to any seated dining areas.
  • Make use of cleaning wipes made available in seating dining areas when arriving and leaving the area.
  • When using the seated dining areas, please dispose of your waste into the bins provided.

An event for plant lovers everywhere!

Celebrate spring and all things plants at the Saturday Fresh Market’s Plantapalooza plant festival on Saturday, 9 October, 2021 – 250 Sherwood Road, Rocklea.

This special event will feature thousands of indoor and outdoor plants, flowers and succulents, plus view demonstrations from our handy Stallholders and horticulture experts.

Plantapalooza will complement the more than 200 regular undercover stalls the Saturday Fresh Market offers every week, including plants, fresh produce, deli items, meats, cheeses, baked goods, flowers and more.

Start your weekend off right by walking the aisles before enjoying a delicious breakfast from quality food trucks while being entertained by live music in the food court.

You’re sure to find exactly what you need for that garden makeover on a budget at the Saturday Fresh Market’s Plantapalooza event.

Pretty Tied Up is here to teach you how to put a terrarium together, producing clean layers in the base for aesthetics and longevity of the terrarium, as well as how to care for your terrarium once you get home.

True Blue Reptiles will provide you with an entertaining, educating and engaging show with real live reptiles! Full of fast, fun and fascinating facts about our incredible native reptiles, this is a show not to be missed.

Kitchentopia will teach you how to make your own toilet cleaning bombs easily at home using natural and organic ingredients that most people have in their kitchen already. Free samples will be available for attendees.
